The statue of liberty, or Liberty Enlightening the World, is a gift from the people of France to the people of United states. It was dedicated on October 28, 1886.
The statue is made of copper, and its total height from ground level is 93 meters (305 feet 1 inch) and the height of the copper statue(to torch) is 46 meters (152feet 1 inch). The statue was designed by Frédéric Auguste Bartholdi and built by Gustave Eiffel.
